Thinking of getting bees but don't know where to start?

We have a class to help with your questions and address the basics to keeping bees. Our "Intro to Beekeeping" class is designed for the new beekeeper. Minimum protective equipment is required (jacket with veil, gloves, long pants, and footwear above the ankle).

​This is a hands-on training workshop.  

Intro to Beekeeping - $30.00 
This class will address the following basics that every beginning beekeeper must become familiar with:
  • Protective gear
  • Hive equipment
  • Identifying bees
  • Hive layout
  • ​Hive Inspections
  • Installing nucs
  • Swarming - why and when

Our "Beekeeping 101" class is designed for the amateur to intermediate beekeeper who is struggling with keeping their hive over the winter. This workshop will go over techniques to help you develop a program for your bees that can be improved year after year. Minimum protective equipment is required (jacket with veil, gloves, long pants, and footwear above the ankle).

This is a hands on training workshop.
